Beautiful Cheeks

Many women have beautiful cheeks that they like to accent with just a touch of color.  A touch of color lightens and brightens the entire face ...  unless, the color and placement is wrong.  If the color and placement of powdered or gel blush is wrong, the whole look is ruined, and those once beautiful cheeks are gone.

For beautiful cheeks that look natural, but with a touch of makeup is easy to do, however, you need to know the natural color of your cheeks when the are flush, and where the outline of the flush ends.

This is how both are achieved:
  1. Sit in a chair, bend over at the waist, and put your head down between your knees for 30 seconds. When you raise your head, your cheeks should be a bit rosy – the rosy color is your natural blush color.
  2. While your cheeks are still red, pounce blush onto your cheeks getting a feel for the outline of your natural flush of color.
  3. Practice this a few times, noticing where your natural blush is more and less intense and apply your blush accordingly.
As you practice, you'll become more aware of your cheek's natural beautiful color; and in turn, you'll find shopping for the right color a pleasant experience instead of a hit and miss job.

More Beauty Tips

Apples of the Cheeks - Give yourself a big grin in the mirror. Do you see the roundest part of the cheeks? These are your cheek’s apples.

Red Broken Capillaries -  Pinching the cheeks for a quick bit of color may leave you with broken capillaries that could take years to disappear.

Carry a small blush compact in your purse for those moments when a quick touch up is necessary.

Yellow Based Concealer - You’ll be amazed at the years this little tip will take off your face... If you have red broken capillaries, don’t worry.  Simply cover them with a yellow-based concealer. Yellow works best when hiding red.  Never overdo it with concealer - too much concealer will look rough and add years to your face!
