Many citizens are concerned about the safety of products that they or their family use. We stumbled across Environmental Working Group's Cosmetic Safety Data Base where you input the name of the product and immediately receive their opinion on its safety.  We tried it out, and were impressed (and sometimes startled) with the information we received.
