Eyebrow Tweezing Tips

Shaped Eyebrows

A wonderful benefit of nicely shaped eyebrows it that it gives an instant lift to the face of any woman.

1. How to reduce the pain of eyebrow tweezing:

  • Rub the eyebrow area with ice before tweezing.
  • Press a warm wash cloth against the brow area for two minutes to open up the pores of the skin.
  • Tweeze eyebrows immediately after a warm shower when pores are open.
2.  Use good hygiene by keeping the brow area clean with soap and warm water before and after tweezing to prevent infection.

3.   Before shaping your eyebrows, feel the natural shape of your brow line with your finger. Examine your brows closely. You want to stay with a natural full look, but not thick eyebrows.

4.  To get the best results when shaping your eyebrows, use a lighted magnifying mirror. I always use my 5x magnified mirror when tweezing my eyebrows, and putting on my makeup too.   It enables me to see those hard to find hairs; and my finished work always looks much nicer. It was the best present I ever gave myself.

5.  Many women prefer to shape the top of their eyebrows with eyebrow scissors. One method is to comb the eyebrow hairs straight up, and then carefully clip, holding the scissors with the curved blades facing down so it contours to their brow.

6.  Remember that eyebrows that are too thick can add years to a woman's face, and even make her look angry. On the other hand, eyebrows with too much of an arch will make a woman look like she's in a permanent state of shock.  Did you ever see the Christmas movie with Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis called Christmas with the Kranks, where Tim Allen meets up with Jamie Lee Curtis after his botox treatment ... VERY FUNNY eyebrows in this one.

7.  Don't forget to shape your brows during your makeup routine for a polished look.

  • Apply a small amount of eyebrow gel to your eyebrow brush, or the supplied applicator.
  • Brush the brows straight up and then shape outwards.
  • Rinse your brush with hot water and you are ready for the day.
8.   Tweezing eyebrows should never be a rush job. Always put aside time to shape and define the brows carefully and correctly.
