How to Wedding Makeup Tips
Wedding Makeup Tips
Many women prefer simple makeup for their wedding, and for those brides who do, here are a few things to keep in mind in our How to Wedding Makeup Tips.
On the Day of Your Wedding if you have a tube of mud mask around, (a gentlier alternative to traditional microderm products), apply about a half-dollar size amount of the mud mask to your wet face.
Gently message your skin for about a minute. If the mud mask seems to dry, add some water to your skin. Rinse your skin well, and apply moisturizer.
If you plan to apply your makeup later in the day, wash your face again with water and a damp wash cloth and apply moisturizer just prior to applying your makeup.
Moisturize
After your moisturizer has had time to dry, apply makeup primer. Foundation primer is used to smooth away small imperfections, and create the illusion of an even skin tone.
Makeup Foundation
Whether you are a loose powder foundation, liquid, airbrush, or compact makeup foundation fan, if your foundation is a bit on the old side, purchase a new makeup foundation for your wedding. It doesn't need to be a different foundation (we all have our favorites), just new, because when make-up ages, it often looses its' effectiveness.
Eye Shadow
For a soft, yet beautiful effect on the eye lids with spectacular metallic reflections, choose a shimmering eye shadow if it is age appropriate. Apply eyeshadow after your eye primer is completely dry. See our article Different Eyeshadow Types to help you choose between frosted, matte, shimmer, or satin.
Eyeliner and Mascara
Weddings can be filled with happy tears. The most important how to wedding makeup tip we can give you is to wear waterproof eyeliner and mascara . Don't forget to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler!
Blush and Lipstick
Don't forget to add color and a healthy glow to your face with blush. If you are unsure about the color of blush to match with your lipstick see our article Blush and Lipstick Color Chart.
Preparing yourself for your wedding is a special time. Schedule time for yourself to enjoy glamming it up for yourself and the love of your life.
