Milk Bath Recipe

•    2 cups powdered milk
•    1 Tablespoon Jojoba or Sweet Almond Oil
•    2 Tablespoons dried rose petals (can be obtained at large health food stores)
•    1/2 cup ground oatmeal (grind oats finely in your blender to an almost powder consistency)
•    10 drops lavender essential oil or other favorite oil
Mix all ingredients well and keep in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Use as much or as little in your bath.

Before slipping into the tub, place 1/2 cup of your mixture into a mess bag, (do this over the tub), tie off the top and place the bag under your tub's running faucet before climbing in to soak and relax.

DJ's Q&A:
Q - Is bathing in milk something fairly new?
A - No, milk baths and milk bath recipes have been a favorite way of softening skin for centuries.

Q - Why should I mix my own milk bath ingredients when I can buy it all ready made?
A - For some women and men, allergic reactions to products are the driving force that takes them to their own kitchens to mix up batches of their own natural skin care products - minus the ingredients that their bodies simply cannot tolerate.
Q - What are some ingredients I can use to create my own natural skin products at home for me?
A -  You can experiment with almost anything that is natural and that you can eat without ill effects.

If you are unsure about an ingredient, put a little on a small area of your skin to test it first and leave it there until you feel the ingredient is safe for you to use.

Some common items used are honey, oatmeal, eggs, avocado, bananas, cucumber, olive oil, ground sugar ...
